This project for The City of Long Beach involved installing four stormwater leaching fields comprised of 36" perforated pipe surrounded with filter cloth and bluestone in the center islands, from Park Ave to Broadway. The system was then connected to new catch basins and drainage piping to eliminate runoff from entering the waterways in this beachfront community. This project also involved constructing a new roadway, curb, sidewalk, and bike path that will provide much safer access from the downtown area to the beach.

This road raising project in Valley Stream for the Town of Hempstead was funded by the Governor's Office of Storm Recovery (GOSR). The first phase of this project included installing new drainage pipe and concrete structures throughout the entire neighborhood. The next phase involved pouring new concrete curb and sidewalk at grades of up to 18" higher than the old construction and restoring over 50 private properties to make sure that their driveways and lawns seamlessly matched the height of the new road. To finish off this project, we performed a full-depth asphalt reclamation, graded the road to its new height, and re-paved.
